Holiday Kid Craft Link Up | Week 3

Welcome to Week #3 of the Holiday Kid Craft Link Up!

The idea of the Holiday Kid Craft Link Up is to link up any Fall, Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter, New Years, any holiday or seasonal craft from now until the end of December.
  • The craft must be kid friendly
  • Do not link up your giveaways
  • Submit the url of your post, not the blog's main page
  • Include my button if you wish or link to me please
  • Visit other blogs, this way we can all learn a new craft for our kids
  • Your kids craft can be a new craft or one from your archives
  • Please link to where you found the craft from if it's not your original

This week I am pulling one from the archives that we enjoyed so much!

Hand Print Monsters
Now what child doesn't love fun little monster's and paint!
I absolutely love, love the way this craft turned out and so did they.
Lots of giggles here!

I found this wonderful craft over at Little Learners Lounge. She painted feet too. I choose not to and thought hands would be enough since we were working on more than one craft today.

You may have noticed from the pictures we didn't paint each finger every time or omitted the thumb. This made for an interesting, yet adorable monster! And I love the way we could create a mouth in the palm of the hands in the first picture.

Items we used for craft:
Yellow construction paper
Tempera paints
Googly eyes
Marker to draw a mouth
Glue for eyes

Book to go with craft:

Go Away Big GREEN Monster!
by: Ed Emberley
The book starts with a black page and two gleaming yellow eyes through the text. Big GREEN Monster has two big yellow eyes. Each page adds a new adjective-laden element, including a bluish greenish nose, and purple hair until the culmination of effects prompts a response of "YOU DON'T SCARE ME! SO GO AWAY.... It's very visual and very bold. I love the the fact that this an introduction to adjectives and a repetitive text that have the children's sole attention. If you haven't read this book, it is a must.

Now it's your turn to link up your creativity, I can't wait to see them!
Thanks for stopping by,

These are really stinkin' cute and I just bought some spooky googly eyes at Michaels the other day that would go perfectly with this craft.
