Father's Day 2012 | Love You to Pieces Dad!

Today we made our Father's Day cards.
Found this idea on Pinterest

I used 6x6 cardstock
Googled puzzle pieces from google, printed and cut out

The children put  the card together and signed the inside.

This is what the inside looks like. I signed this one for the baby.

Father's Day 2011 - He's the Best Dad Hands Down!

I recently stumbled across a blog who found this on Pinterest.
Their version was put in a frame. So beautiful!
Our's is laminated with ribbon as a hanger.

We started here with stamping little hand prints with tempera paint in their choice of color.

I cut all the letters and numbers with my Cricut and glued to the cardstock.
I really think stickers would have been easier, oh well, I enjoyed myself!

I laminated them all and hole punched two holes at the top for the ribbon hanger.
All the children had their ribbon choices ready for me to tie in place.
They all went home yesterday.
We usually wait till the end of the week to send home gifts, but what always happens, someone will stay home. So, home they went! You know mom has something special for Sunday anyway!

Happy Father's Day!

Just Me And My Dad by: Mercer Mayer
A father and son go camping! But who is really taking care of who!

Me and My Dad! by: Alison Richie
This rhyming text book tells a story about a bear cub and his dad!

My Dad! by: Chae Strathie
A little girls father always tells her outlandish tales, but despite his far-fetched stories she knows that one thing will always be true!

I hear this so often from the kids that I thought this would be a great book to read to them!

Father's Day Cards

These are the Father's Day cards we made last year!

Which I had to pre-fold for the children, it was a little tough for them.
I used scrap paper for the tie and the pocket on the shirt which they put in place.
And they glued real buttons underneath the tie.
On the inside it says Happy Father's Day! and the children decorated it by using stamps.
You can find the printable for this HERE
I used it as a template.
