Holiday Kid Craft Link Up | Week 15

Welcome to our last link up
of the Holiday Kid Craft Link Up!
The holidays are officially over for now, and it's back to where we left off in pre-school.

I want to thank everyone who has joined in each week, we have had lots of fun with this link up!

No rules for the link up today, as  long as it is kid friendly!

We had a  short week this week.
So we are sharing our glitter fireworks we made.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I drew with  a pencil on black construction paper fire works for the children to trace with glitter glue.
 And that it!
And here are their creations.
They were going quite well until an air bubble popped out a mass amount all over.
But, all in all, they fireworks still look great!

Now it's your turn to link up any kid friendly craft you and your children have been working on,
and thanks so much for stopping by and linking up!

This week we are sharing our Advent Calender days 13 thru 16

Day 13 Make Hand Print Craft

I was hoping this would look more like Rudolf, but, here's our craft.
We used:
thin cardboard to trace hands
googly eyes
shiny pom-poms for nose
jingle bells and bakers twine to go around his neck
a marker for his mouth
red and white paint to make a border

eyes, jingle bells, and pom poms provided by craftprojectideas.com

Day 14 Name Snowmen

This was a Pinterest find and I thought it was cute. But it was a little work. The tots could not really keep up with this one so it required alot of help but we have it done now and hanging up. They love it!

Day 15 Wish Stockings

 We used:
red card stock
white paper
glue
scissors
old magazines
pencil
I free handed the stocking
The children looked through magazines and cut out things they wanted for Christmas and glued to their stocking.
We did this craft a few years ago and it was fun. And this group enjoyed it too!

Day 16 Celebrate a Birthday

Someone turned 5 at daycare, so for today's activity we were to celebrate his birthday and have a fun day!

We danced all morning to music, he opened his gifts, and they enjoyed cupcakes!

Now it's your turn to link up your craftiness!
And thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a wonderful comment!

This week I'm sharing our Advent Calender Days 7, 8, & 9

Day 7 Making Jingle Bell Wreaths
We used glitter sticks and jingle bells that were sent to us by craftprojectsideas.com.
We were trying to mimic the Jingle Bell picture on the package, and we came close and I think they came out cute.
We strung the bells first. The children did really well with this. After twist around a pencil and  take off , form a circle, twist on top and tie a bow with another glitter stick.

Day 8 Making Star Ornaments
We  made our star ornaments with these craft sticks also provided by craftprojectideas.
We used buttons, glue and twine.
We used four craft sticks, glued together to form a star.
Added buttons to decorate and twine and to hang on the tree. Very simple and fun!

Day 9 Write a Letter to Santa
I found this Santa page from a Google search.
I had to write ask and write for the tots.
The two year old said she wants a bird and a ring.
The twenty month old said she wants toys.
And the five year old to be next week wrote that he wants a Zombie Maker.
Well alrighty then!
After writing the letters we addressed them to Santa at the North Pole and put them in the mail box.
This had to be the best part!
Now it's your turn to link what you and your child have been up to! I can't wait to see!

Today we are sharing Hanukkah. I know it's not here yet but this craft is from last year and never was posted. We had a good time learning about a different type of Holiday Celebration.

I read the book Hanukkah by: Miriam Nerlove
This books provides a brief history of Hanukkah. The text is simple and rhymes and was very helpful in teaching a little bit of holiday traditions to the kids.

First we did a color sheet of a Menorah.

We made the Star of David to hang on the tree.

Made hand print Menorah's
I found this on a blog, but can't remember who's. Sorry.

We made Latkes and learned to play Dreidel .
We had a lot of fun!

Before you leave be sure to enter my giveaway going on right now!
Chalk Board Roll Up Mat Ends Monday 12/05.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
