Letter Hh Week | Hearts

Last week we began our letter Hh

Homes and Hearts.

Our lap book has a "My Book About Hh" that we read together each day and the children color in.

The left side shows different types of homes animals or people live in. And the right side of the lap book has different color hearts I drew that they had to match by coloring in.

At the top they matched different color hearts.

Do a Dot Hh sheet

I couldn't get this picture to load correctly for some reason.
The right work sheet is a tracer sheet and find the letter Hh 's.
The sheet on the left is Alphabet matching.

Since it's  Valentine's week the Hearts theme worked out perfectly, so we did different heart related things.

Hh is for Heart's, this will go into their ABC Binders.

Match the Heart colors.

Valentine's Heart Art

Gather Supplies:

pre-cut hearts

different color paints

old gift cards

paint trays

 They dipped and slid their cards across their hearts until completed.

 And that's the easiest craft I think we have ever done, but so much fun.
They really enjoy mixing the colors on their hearts.

 A little or a lot of paint, their Heart Art came out beautiful!

Cookie Cutter Heart Tracing

For Valentines Day I broke out the cookie cutters for a little  Heart Tracing. This will give them great practice on their tracing skills and they wouldn't realized it and have fun doing it!

Supplies Used

construction paper (any colors)

glue 

scissors

pencil colors  

First I let them trace the hearts with cookie cutters on different color construction paper.

Them I cut them all out! 

And the gluing begins! 

The finished product!
