Colorful Shamrock Hearts

I had plenty of the foam Conversation Hearts left over from Valentine's Day. Mostly with out any words written on them. This was a great use for them, to make colorful Shamrocks.
Here are our supplies:
Foam hearts with adhesive backs
Green markers
White card stock

I showed them how to make them, and then used the marker for the stem.

They did really well! However I did help the tot in the above photo, she enjoyed making several stems for the Shamrocks, one can never be too careful! :)
 Well done kiddos!

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing what we were up to this week!

St. Patrick's Day Pot O' Gold Craft

Today we made a Pot O' Gold craft for St. Patrick's Day!

 Supplies Used:
White, gold and black card stock
dot markers in the colors of the rainbow
glue
hole punch

I cut the pot at 9 inches with my Cricut machine with the black card stock
I used a 1 inch hole punch for the gold coins

The children glued their black pots to the white card stock then added the gold coins.
Next they used the dot markers to create the rainbow any way they wished.
I think they turned out great! These will go into their binders.

Supplies Used:

I cut a 6 1/2 inch cloud on my Cricut
Cut a 4 1/2 inch circle, added 2 hole punches
Cut 6- 1x11 inch rainbow strips
Also used white yarn to hang it up

Yes, I made one too! :) Here we glued the circle with holes facing upward for yarn hanger.  I drew a line to mark where the glue should go, then the rainbow strips.

St.Patrick's Day:Leprechaun Mask

I really didn't have time in this craft to take many pictures. I was helping the kids with this one.
It happens, or I forget to even take pictures.

Supplies I  Used
googled leprechaun hat and printed on white card stock
card stock-white, cut into a 5 inch circle for the face
orange card stock ( for hair/beard) cut in a 5 1/2 inch scallop,
I used my cricut machine
scissors
glue
googly eyes
marker
craft stick and tape (which are not pictured)

We basically layered each piece together.

1.We took the beard/hair and glued the white card stock on top & glued on hat.
2.Glued on the eyes
3. They got the marker and made the nose and mouth.
4.Last I taped the craft stick on the back and added their name to it.
With the Luck '0 The Irish we were done!
You see there in that photo someone did not wear GREEN!
Well did he ever get a tickling this morning!

Shamrock Books

In honor of St. Patrick's Day I made shamrock matching books for the boys.

It's a four page book with different color shamrocks on each page that I had drawn in each corner.

I gave each of them twelve different color shaped hearts and their glue sticks & explained what to do.

When they were done they added a green stem to their shamrocks.
I just noticed I only have three pages shown besides the cover. :)

Great job guys!

I'm linking this to Preschool Corner
