Scavenger Hunt Sunday | Avery Island, Louisiana

Our family from Wisconsin is visiting us, so today we took them to Avery Island, La. We visited the Bird Sanctuary located on the island. The island is a salt dome and that's how it became.
The McIlennny's own the island and are the founders of the famous Tabasco Brand hot sauce. We did tour the factory but that's another post. While most birds have migrated farther south for the Winter, go figure, there were still several beautiful things to see and photograph there on the island. I'm interpreting the prompts with our visit today.

1. Macro

2. Found Texture

3. Home

4. Cover

5. The Tree

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Don't ya just love when you can get all the prompts from one place! I'm so jealous that you found a gator, I've been wanting to photograph one for a while. And I love the cover, beautiful!
