Foto Friday | Around The Yard/Garden

Is everyone ready for their three day weekend! If you're traveling please be safe out on the roads. Since we are having a holiday I will leave the linky open until Tuesday  September 6th.
And I am so excited that it's September! My favorite time of the year is approaching, FALL! Yes! Summers are just too hot for me. Maybe it's because I'm older, or the Louisiana heat plus humidity. I don't know. But I love Fall. And it takes awhile here to get a real change of the season. That's the only bad thing.

I want to thank everyone for joining in each week and welcome the new comers! I get so excited each week when it's time to submit a post for Foto Friday.

Our theme for last week was Black and White. And these were really awesome. Yes, I know, I say that all the time. But I really enjoy seeing everyone's photos! The Black and Whites are beautiful.

So here are a couple that I truly thought were beautiful...

This beautiful image was shot by Jackie from Blessings Overflowing of her son Joshua. I love this photo of her son walking across a suspension bridge. Just a beautiful capture.

This stunning image was shot by Kim Stevens at Picking Poppies. Notice the crows legs.
Visit her blog to see more of her black and white images. Oh and she has a Foto Friday too!

This week's theme is "Around The Yard/or Garden"

This past week I have been noticing plenty bumble bees in the garden. I thought this would be a good opportunity to get a shot of one. The bumble bee stayed for a very long time on my Mexican Heather, I was very excited about that.
I ran the image through Picnik, softened it, cloned an extra flower, and added a light texture. I like the way it turned out.
I should make it my wallpaper. lol

Now link up your photos of what's around your yard or garden!
And remember to grab the button and visit other blogs with words of encouragement.

Really great bee photo! Your mexican heater looks nice in the background too. I haven't planted that in a while, but I need to remember it for next year. It's something that can definitely take our heat.

I think my favorite pictures are flowers and bugs. Very nice job! I like the bright color of the flower adding pop to the picture. Have a great weekend! OH, and I like your picture for your header. I'll miss that little boy's bright blue eyes, but this one is just as sweet :)
