Mothers Day Gifts 2011

I purchased five, four inch terra cotta flower pots for the children to make a craft for Mothers Day.
I brought out paint so they could choose their color and paint their pots. I ask them what could mom do with these pots. Of course all of them said plant a flower in it. So I suggested maybe she could bring it to work and sit on her desk to use as a pen holder. They didn't think that was a very good idea. :)

They were so into this project!

Here are the finished painted pots.
One child wasn't here and one didn't want anything to do with painting.
So I painted the pink and the white one.

I made flowers for each pot with my cricut machine because two of the pots had stickers that would not come off.
Then on with the glue! Mod Podge!
I put the Mod Podge in a plate for each boy with a sponge.
They really enjoyed this!

After all the pots dried the I wrapped the pots with hemp cord and strung with beads.
The boys had already pick the colors they liked to spell the word MOM.

I used the Mod Podge to adhere the hemp cord and hot glue for the beads.
Later we wrapped them in tissue paper and placed in gift bags with ribbon for Mom.
Happy Mother Day !!
:)
