Foto Friday FAQ

Foto Friday has been handed over to me from Kim at Mom Tried It. I'm so excited to be hosting and I really love taking pictures. This has been and will be so much fun!

I will keep the rules basically the same. 
Every week people link their photos here to share with others.  Please visit others and leave a comment of encouragement.  Encouragement really helps, believe me. Then come back and tell us which one is your favorite (that you visited).  Top favorites will be showcased the following week



1. Link up your post to share your photo.  The photo must be family friendly,
G rated, it must appropriate. This is a family site, keep it clean please.
2. Link your permalink to your post, not your blogs main page.
Example:http://la-lashomedaycare.blogspot.com/2011/07/foto-friday-16-red-white-and-blue.html
 and not http://la-lashomedaycare.blogspot.com/
3. Link back to Foto Friday so your readers can see more images.  By doing this other blog’s readers will see you, as well.  You can link in text form or grab the button.

Failure to follow guidelines may result in your link being removed from the list.  I have the right to remove any image that doesn’t follow the guidelines or I deem inappropriate in any way.  You can post it on your site all you want, but it won’t be here.

Frequently Asked Questions:

I don’t have a fancy camera (digital SLR).  Can I still participate?

Absolutely. How else are you going to get better other than by practicing? 

 Cameras can help, but composition, angle, and creativity aren't 

any settings I have seen on one.  

I don’t have a blog.  How can I link up a picture?

If you don’t have a blog, just type the specific URL to your image

 (from Flickr or Photobucket, etc.) in a comment.  

Be sure to type the link in the comment box section so people can click on it. 

 If you type it where it asks for your name, email, and URL, 

it will just embed the link in the text of your name.  

We won’t know how to see your image.

I don’t live in the U.S. and the time difference can be a pain 

to join something like this.  How can I be a part of this, too?

Foto Friday will be up at 12:00 am (00:00 for some of you) every Friday CST.  

The link up will stay open throughout the weekend and close at 11:59 pm (23:59) Sunday CST.  This will give anyone around the world plenty of opportunity to join the fun.

I have a picture I want to share, but it doesn’t fit with this week’s theme.  

Should I wait until a matching theme comes up?

Absolutely not.  Share that picture now.  I want to see it.  

The themes are merely suggestions that may help spark creativity.  

The theme suggestion might motivate you to pick up your camera that week.  

Hopefully a theme, or two, may inspire you to think differently and 

stretch your creativity in new ways you haven’t tried before.
