Opposites Day-Opposites Books

We had Opposites Day at daycare so I made the children each an opposites book to go along with the theme of the day. Also we are on the letter 'O' this week, so I thought this would be a good way to introduce them to a new word that begins with 'O'.

Also for opposites day we had pancakes and sausage for lunch!

The kids greeted each person in the morning as they arrived with "Good Night"

And as each person left they said "Good Morning"

They talked opposite all day. Sometimes it really became confusing! LOL

But we had so much fun!

I love making books for them. I made Shamrock books for St. Patrick's that you can view HERE

You can also read about our letter Oo week HERE

I love the idea of homemade opposite books. I'm sure the kids enjoyed them. And can imagine how confusing it would get to talk opposite all day. lol :-)

I'm sure it did get confusing to talk in opposites all day. When it was time to go outside, did you say 'line up so we can go inside?' haha
Or at nap time instead of saying lay down on your cots, did you say 'get up off your cots?'
Confusing but fun and I'm sure the students started to understand some opposite words.

Brenna, yes, pretty much that's how our day went! :) They had watched an episode of Little Bear where they had an Opposites Day. So they had been wanting to do this for a long time. They really had fun with it.
Sometimes I had to say "Wait, Really, I'm serious this time!" LOL
They would giggle and giggle!
